Missions

Each year FBC goes into the community and helps a family in need.  This project began in 2003 and so far we have renovated 6 homes for families that were going through a tough time.  During the first weekend of December a crew of hard working, missions minded folks converge on a local house and do an Extreme Makeover.  This year SOCS will be December 3-5.  Check back for more details.

FBC beleives firmly in carrying out the Acts 1:8 Challenge.  Each year we do local, state, national and international missions.  Our church has participated in mission trips to South Texas, Colorado, the Texas Gulf Coast and South Africa.  Our mission team is currently meeting and planning our Missions Emphasis for 2010.

At FBC we want to give people a hand up.  We understand that times are tough.  One of the ways Jesus met needs was to meet the physical needs of people before meeting their spiritual needs.  For more information on our food pantry, visit the Food Pantry page.

WOM is a group of mission-minded and mission-active ladies who meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month.  There is a group that meets at 9am in the Library as well as a group that meets at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall.
